No, you do not need a dish to connect to our network.
Iwireless is a non line of sight solution. It picks up the broadband service from a base station located close to you if you are located within our coverage area.

Can I connect to my office Intranet using iwireless?
Yes, if your office Intranet allows access from the public Internet. Iwireless offers you a gateway to the Internet. This means that you can actually work from home, communicate with your colleagues via voice or fax as if you are in your office.

I live outside Lagos; can I get your service from there?
No, you will not have service outside Lagos for now. Presently, iwireless coverage is only available in Lagos and in 2 cities namely Victoria-Island and Ikoyi: Lagos island, Lekki,, Surulere, Apapa, yaba, Ikeja and Maryland will be covered before the June 15th will cover the whole of Lagos before the end of the third quarter of this year.

iwireless broadband shall be available in Abuja and Pot Harcourt before the end of last quarter of 2007

Yes, you can use iwireless at home and office as long as both locations fall within iwireless coverage area. The portability of iwireless makes it easy for it to be moved around.

How do I pay for iwireless?
You can pay for iwireless at any iwireless friendship centres; recommended banks registered and approved distributors. The information is on our website and will be updated periodically

When you pay for iwireless service, during the introductory promotional period, you will be offered one-month free subscription. At the end of the first month, you have the choice of five (5) service plans. The service plans include Small business, Professionals, Home office, Family plus and Family plans, all tailored to suit your budget.

Are there data caps on my data usage?
Yes. Each service plan has a data cap (see service plan)

Why does ipNX impose data allowance caps?
Like other service providers, ipNX has a small proportion of very heavy users. This group of less than 5 per cent currently consumes a majority of the total Internet bandwidth being shared by all users. It is therefore necessary for us to protect the service quality for the other 95 per cent of users by establishing and implementing bandwidth control for those who are affecting the quality of service for the rest.

Does iwireless make use of WiMAX technology?
Yes, it is WiMAX compliant.

How do I power iwireless?
Just connect your network cable, phone/fax cable to the i-station and you are already connected. You do not need a dish, pole, antenna, technician etc. Its all plug and play and in 5-7 minutes you are already connected.

Can I get a Public IP address using iwireless Broadband?
The standard configuration of i-wireless is without a public IP address.

Does it work on Linux OS-based Computers?
iwireless Broadband is an all Internet Protocol (IP) based service and can be used with any operating system which supports IP; this includes Microsoft Windows, Linux e.t.c.

Is the bandwidth on the service plans based on Committed Information Rate (CIR)?
No, the advertised speeds are based on shared Internet bandwidth. However, the oversubscription ratios and maximum data allowance (fair usage policy) have been carefully chosen to ensure that users get a real broadband experience all the time
